January 6th - 12:10 pm - Regular meeting. Ante's

January 13th - 7:00 pm - Board Meeting  - TBA 

January 20th - 12:10 pm - Regular meeting. Ante's 
Restaurant, 729 South Palos Verdes St., San Pedro, CA 
90731.

January 27th  - 6:30 pm - Tri Club meeting with the 
Harbor City/Lomita and Wilmington Lions Clubs. 6:30 
pm Social.  7:00 pm dinner. Ante's Restaurant, 729 
South Palos Verdes St., San Pedro, CA 90731.

Meetings

The December 16th Noon Meeting was held at Ante's 
Restaurant and was very lightly attended. 

Lions Wayne Bettis, Tom and Susan Dorsey, George 
Keens, David Staley, and Mitch Young attended.

Start the New Year off right and plan to attend meetings! 
We miss seeing you!

Lupe Hernandez

Lupe Hernandez is ill and is currently hospitalized at 
Little Company of Mary - San Pedro Hospital. Lion 
Wayne Bettis visited Lupe at the hospital and asked if 
she had any requests. She replied; "No Flowers!" 

Please keep Lupe in your thoughts and prayers. We all 
hope that she will be back home soon!


Jeanne Wood

Dear Lions,

I am sorry to report to you that our good friend, Jeanne 
Wood, of the Harbor City / Lomita Lions Club has 
become very ill, and could really use the prayers and 
good wishes of every one of us.

Jeanne has served as President of the Harbor City / 
Lomita Lions Club and is presently the District Zone 
Chairperson. Jeanne is the widow of Lion Jack Wood. 
She and Jack were very active in their Lions Club and 
since Jack's death, a few years ago; Jeanne has 
remained active and has been an irreplaceable member 
of the Downhill Race Committee. She is also one of the 
nicest people you will ever meet.

We all hope to see Jeanne back with us soon.

Multiple District Four Convention

This years Multiple District Four (MD-4) Convention, 
February 11 thru 13, 2005, will be held at San Diego's 
Town and Country Hotel. I am hoping that we can get 
several members and their partners to attend along with 
Chris and I.

In past years we always had good attendance at these 
conventions, but not lately. You, as Lions, can learn a lot 
about your organization and at the same time have a lot 
of fun.

The San Pedro Lions Club will pay your registration fee, 
see the attached sheets. For more information about the 
convention, please feel free to give me a call.

Holiday Party

This years San Pedro Lions Club Holiday Party was a 
great success!  Everyone who attended had a wonderful 
time, sharing fellowship, fun, food, gifts and holiday 
cheer. Lions Chris and Eddie Keyse cooked and served 
an excellent dinner. The Keyse home was beautifully 
decorated in a very festive holiday motif that was 
enjoyed by all.

Thank you Eddie and Chris for your hospitality and 
hosting another great Holiday Party this year! Of the 
many Holiday Parties you have had at your home, this 
was the best!
