Lions from the Harbor City - Lomita Lions Club, San Pedro Lions Club and the Wilmington Lions Club attended. Tahia Hayslet, the Executive Director of Harbor Interfaith Services, gave an excellent informative talk on Harbor Interfaith Services and how they help their many clients in our local community with issues of homelessness and poverty. Lion Sandra Prebanda was inducted into the San Pedro Lions Club by P.D.G. Eddie Keyse. Her Sponsor, Lion Mike Weitzman was at her side. If you missed the event, you missed a good time, good food, a wonderful talk and great fellowship. And, we missed seeing you! Peace Poster Contest Update We have had a very good response for the Peace Poster Contest. Mary Star Elementary School, Holy Trinity School, Willenberg Special Education Center and the Boys and Girls Club all submitted entries. We have filled three walls at Muriel Olguin's Studio with the posters. Please mark your calendar and be sure to attend the exhibition and judging of Peace Posters on 1st Thursday, November 4th at 6:00 pm. The entries will be shown at Muriel Olguin's Studio, The Loft, 3rd Floor, 401 S. Mesa St. San Pedro, CA 90731. A jury of local artists will judge the posters. Mobil Screening Unit The Mobil Screening Unit was at the "Justice for Murdered Children" Heath Fair at Ports O'Call on Saturday October 30th. Lions Eddie and Chris Keyse, Frank Colello and his wife Isabel, Sandra Prebanda, Tom Dorsey, and Mike Weitzman from the San Pedro Lions Club along with Lion Jeanne Wood and Charlotte Manseau from the Harbor City - Lomita Lions Club and Charlie Rico from the Wilmington Lions Club all helped with screening.
