Unless you are in the photo, you missed sharing lunch and fellowship with your fellow Lions. May 26th Tri-Club Meeting This week's May 26th Tri-club meeting at Ante's Restaurant, 729 South Palos Verdes St., San Pedro, CA 90731 will be a very informative one! We have an excellent speaker who will address a very important issue that affects all of us and our families and friends. Ernie Powell, Associate State Director, Advocacy California State Office of AARP is speaking on the proposed Social Security changes and what they can mean to us. His discussion about Social Security will also include what to ask our elected officials. Here's your chance to get your questions answered! Be sure and mark your calendar. Bring a friend! There is a 6:30 pm Social and dinner is at 7:00 pm. We are looking forward to seeing you at the Tri-Club meeting. Don't miss this meeting! Mr. and Miss San Pedro Contest The Mr. & Miss San Pedro Scholarship Contest for teens and young adults ends this Wednesday May 25th. Beacon House, the Boys and Girls Club and Toberman Settlement House are all participating. Lions Dave Staley, Lion Sandra Prebanda, and Mike Weitzman, have all been working very hard to make this contest a great success! Downhill Race Committee The Downhill Race Committee will be meeting on Tuesday evening, June 14th at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held at Lion Eddie Keyse's house, 1743 W.
