Please mark your calendar now and be sure to attend the meeting. Lion Vince Zabica is the Chairman of the Student Speaker Contest and has been working hard to make this year's contest a good one. In the News The More San Pedro for Saturday, January 29th had an excellent article on the Community Recognition Dinner. The article by Paul Clinton appeared on page 15 of the More San Pedro. Lion Annette Ciketic did a great job on getting the article in the newspaper. Publicity Chairperson Lion Annette Ciketic has volunteered to be Publicity Chairperson for the San Pedro Lions Club. Please call Lion Annette with any items that need to be publicized. She can be reached at 310-832-0815. Thank you Annette! Flag Day Lions Club Flag Day will be on February 18th this year. We will be visiting the many elementary schools in San Pedro to hand out flags and give a short lesson in "Old Glory" to the kindergarten classes. This event is always a very fulfilling activity and is your chance to help instill a spirit of true patriotism and respect for our flag in some of San Pedro's youngest citizens.
